White wide weight on height
Wire my camera does wear
Twisted, tested, trusted outwitted
Statue stitched, stacked upon a stack, my stance beneath
Blue, my eyes bloom, boredom, blah, I blew it
Sky paints my psyche, a sockeye spawns
Light — bright loot lites truth from lies
Barbed war wound, St Peter’s gate is barred
Cloud, clad with clawed steel
Travel but a travail, a trial above.

Submitted as part of “National/Global Poetry Writing Month” (#NaPoWriMo #GloPoWriMo).
Today’s prompt: Day Three: Write a poem using a “word bank” created by first, making a list of ten words. You can generate this list however you’d like – pull a book off the shelf and find ten words you like, name ten things you can see from where you’re sitting, etc. Now, for each word, use Rhymezone to identify two to four similar-sounding or rhyming words.
NB: In my case, I did word association looking at the photo and took the first 10 words (bolded above) and then ran them through Rhymezone for similar sounds. Ta-da.
