Fastest and most Expressive Tongue in the West … the East … and Central

Ben_Tongue2

When Ben passed away in October, I was left going through thousands and thousands of photos of him and, in the process, one of the very telling parts of his personality was expressed again and again … and that was the constance of his tongue. It found it’s way into both hearts … and almost any mouth he got near.

Ben_Tongue20

Yes, Ben was a French-kisser extraorindaire ….

But he was such a happy dog. Truly, looking at him and his tongue, he expressed so much of who he was and his personality. What wasn’t there to love?

Yes, he had a long long tongue — which is why he could so devilishly snake it into unsuspecting mouths. It certainly came out every time we played ….

… but oh how it came out when dinner was coming or food was near by …. Some might say it gave him life. It certainly gave me life.

But he was a character and so his tongue didn’t always behave for the pictures the way I expected. It is those ‘outtakes’ that have recently brought me incredible joy in remembering his craziness and his love.

Oh, how I miss that tongue ….

Oh, I can so relate about the curious and crazy terrier tongue!

I can see why you posted so many photos – how could you choose? These are all so awesome – thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for that and the smile … good that you can relate too. Yes, it was hard to choose but more than anything, the whole whack of them just reinforced how amazing and crazy he was and that it wasn’t a ‘rare’ thing with him: it was his personality. 🙂

      Glad you liked them.
