My Muse

June 30, 2015 by Dale 14 Comments

My Muse

You are the stars that show me the way in the deepest dark,
You flow the lyrics to my life, give words to the beat of my heart,
You are the movements of my hips, a dance upon a busy street,
You are and will always be my past … my present and my future,
You are the melody in my day and are D.S. al coda each morning,
You guide me through tragedy, let me grow from my loss and grief,
You are my eloquence, my praise of all that is and that which creates,
You are my libretto, a magic flute that weaves me with your love,
You are the laughter upon my lips, the marriage within our story,
You are every word within my verse, you are my every muse.

I am indeed most blessed and lucky! I don’t forget it any day. Having such a muse makes one believe in bigger things, that’s for sure. Thank you! 🙂

    Feels funny liking this!
Your heart and mind are so beautiful, sweet Dale, and you inspire me equally and every day. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t begin to adequately express my gratitude for you and for this immense gift. I adore you.

The best gifts don’t need to be given … they are simply shared as is our perfect love. Thank you for being you ….

  1. Possessing Loss: Remembering Ben says:

[…] Jessica decided to use one of her scarce remaining vacation days to be with me today — to support me in whatever I needed. I didn’t ask or even insinuate that I wanted this — expressing my needs is not a strong suit regardless. I am not surprised she did this because that is quite simply the kind of amazing woman she is — and she continues to be there for me wherever I need her. I’m in awe of My Muse. […]
