Art pulls at our lives …
Your smile follows me
wherever I’m pulled
I’m held by your gaze.
Standing on a bridge
struggling with all my fears
screams from the weight of years.
Made of Titanic marble
heroic stands against disbelief
Goliath stoned by your devotion.
You’re passion born of sea foam
but a torso you are all beauty
my heart beats cracks in alabaster.
Perspectives rage inside my head
monsters roam in imagination
You calm my civil war.
I sit and ponder life
a moment full of peace
forged in the knowledge of you.
We lay beneath a darkest night
a sky weeps upon us stars
with swirling fingers I hold you tight.
Against the heat of your love
time melts upon the shore
we are art bound together …
… and made real.

You and your words are beautifully complex, with immeasurable depth and proof of the power of art. <3
Dale says
Thank you. <3 I enjoyed playing with the 'art' in the piece a lot while interweaving the images (the imitation) with love (made real). Not sure it entirely goes with the photos, but proof that inspiration can come from anywhere. 🙂
