Quiet darkness is replaced
By the warmth of candlelight
Casting singularity
A couple merge in shadows
Your love is a glowing flame
I’m mesmerized in your dance.
I stare into liquid eyes
A moth captured in moonlight.
I’m wedded to your ring of fire
Every night wine and steak dinner.
My life is warm candlelight
When married staring at you.

Thank you, Jon. It was an inspiring theme to play with … thanks for the comments.

Sacramental. An echo of the “Song of Songs.”

Thank you, John. Not intentional, but in going back to re-read, I agree and see what you see. In a similar homage, it’s proof that there is “nothing new under the sun.”

You bring a blush to my face. Thank you. I’m very glad to have been able to add a little candlelight to your own birthday. Hope your year burns brightly. Thank you again for the very kind comment. 🙂
