They are breathtaking year round. The foot bridge is a challenge for me, as I am terrified of heights, but the contrast of the power of the falls and people fly fishing a 100 metres, maybe not as much, below them is fantastic.
I suppose it is ironic, given the context, that I only know the Fall’s other seasons through other’s photography, but, yes, I’m quite sure every season adds something a little different. I’ll confess that the footbridge was challenging for us both for exactly the same reason … so I’m a little more proud of the shots because I had to work through the fear to get over the edge. Having done so, it was, “Wow.” Hypnotic, but you can be sure I was mindful of my mortality as I peered into the frozen depths. And, yes, the contrast of other mortals near its edges adds much to the sheer power of nature, unleashed. Thanks for thoughtful comment, truly.
Wow, what an amazing place. Beautiful pictures.
Thank you for the comment, Mar. It was definitely a neat experience to be ‘atop’ and look down the throat of a frozen waterfall.
Some breathtaking shots in this series!
Thank you! I’m really pleased they translated to the screen. ?
These photos are just spectacular! Thanks for sharing them.
Thank you. The interplay of different forces of nature and its textures and colours produced a spectacle more amazing than we expected to find. Glad you liked them too. ?
Indeed I did.
