“A Study in Yellow #5: Butter”
This was a flower that filled my grandmother with love and no matter her age, she always beamed as bright as the flower itself when she spied the first ones of spring. And so I grew up with this flower as the symbol of new beginnings, of the rebirth of the world. Like a yellow star against the black-green verdure of the lawn, it seems a perfect symbol for this day.
As I post this, on this day, I have the refrains going through my ears,
“A star, a star, dancing in the night ….”
With a tail as big as a kite,
With a voice as big as the sea,
Let it bring us silver and gold,
It will bring us goodness and light.
With a tail as big as a kite,
With a voice as big as the sea,
Let it bring us silver and gold,
It will bring us goodness and light.
