I erupt with strength through hard ground
Through sidewalks and walls I abound
I dirty knees and nails that try to resist
Innocent, I yellow cheeks with a lemon kiss
Fill the sky with chutes of gossamer
Spread my seeds and choke life everywhere
But I am sunshine painted on petal’s hue
Each one a snowflake precious and new.
