Baby Sea

September 16, 2015 by Dale 7 Comments

Apricot Blue

Sunset licks a dying sky
Baby blue washed in pink hue
Foam born waters laps.

*     *    *

Apricot blush sipped
Blue waters rise into sky
Sea rose rests on sand.

*     *    *

Warm sand drinks summer sky
Stratus quenched in baby sea
Heaven is here with you.

      Thank you Kim. It was a fun series for me as well. Very tempted to have continued with it. There were some sand pictures I was going to include.

    ps: the colours and textures you captured at this point in time are so perfect and serene and evoke such peaceful feelings and memories. Big smiles.

      Thanks Jess. I think that one of the reasons I’m so drawn to many natural photographs is because of their ephemeral quality … they are moments in time, exactly, as you say. They are beautiful, momentous, extraordinary and somehow intimate because I got to be there when this happened. To be able to even try and capture it and share it with a wider audience, well, it’s a privilege. To have others see in them what I saw by being there … is deeply connective. I’m glad you both were part of the experience and can validate their veracity. Hugely special and big smiles returned. 🙂

    I love these shots, Dale. I suppose any great photo catches a unique moment in time that will never repeat itself precisely. You’ve caught not only a moment but an environment, an experience, a set of feelings and beautiful memories forever. Thank you. 🙂 xo
