Botanical Fires

April 23, 2016 by Dale 13 Comments

Tulip Macro-12Botanical fire
Sparks seeking a season’s soul
Red bleeds yellow bright.

Tulip Macro-14

Flags fly upon a staff
Unfurling flashes on blue
Lipstick kisses caught.

Tulip Macro-2

Tulip Macro-18

Brushstrokes paint my mind
My heart is a canvas
Tulips made for you.

Tulip Macro-3

Tulip Macro-1

Tulip Macro

Turned furled and curled
Every bloom has a finish
Beauty born of an end.

That’s a different look at your ordinary, fading tulip 🙂 Great photos 🙂

Thank you Sonia. It really does emphasize for me as well what I’ve long held that beauty is everywhere if only we choose to see it.

Beautiful photos! Can I ask what lens you used for these shots? Wonderful shots!

Thank you Jon — I really appreciate your comment. In terms of your question, I’m shooting with a micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 ED. It is hands down my favourite lens. I use it for a lot more than ‘just’ macros as it just takes pictures of exceptional clarity and crispness. Hope that helps ….

You should be very proud of those wonderful photos, the colours, the shapes, the clarity all perfect and very abstract.

Thank you Maggie. I am indeed very proud …. It always feels amazing when the camera actually captures and shares what the eye sees. Truly, these were the most beautiful tulips I’ve ever seen from beginning to the very end. Thank you again.

Stunning shots – you make a work of true art out of flowers most would simply throw away – beauty in all stages….Fire in my heart!
