You are a light against the darkness
You are a path through our maze
You are courage in the face of fear
You are gone and still are near.
You are a hero, a giant, in an epic story
You are peace in a world of worry
You are the smile that sets the tone
A friend for those long way from home.
You are the last drop of wine washing palate
You are the strike of 12 ringing in the air
You are the empty chair in our circle of life
You are the sky unleashing a storm of tears.
Your are the fire in the night
You are the maximum
You touched us all
You made us each tall
Forever, you will be in memoriam.

Dale, I have just come upon your blog after searching for recipes for chronic renal failure. I read about Ben and felt that you have echoed my thoughts on my dog as she is preparing for the next chapter of her journey. In some many ways, I understand your connection to Ben. I truly understand it. It is how I have felt and now I know someone else out there understands the connection to another living being that truly becomes part of you.
I read more about you and stopped. I was amazed and quiet. I am in Orlando, FL and trying to return home…..my home is Ottawa. Could not believe it.
I am going to try your recipes and email you with I hope positive results. Thank you for putting out your connection with Ben and your heart.
Margaret

Hi Margaret — thank you for the note and reaching out. My apologies for my own delay in response as I myself am also traveling. It’s a delight to meet another wondering soul from Ottawa too. I hope this does indeed bring you help, but if I can help in any other way, especially given the closeness, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Wishing you the best and safe travels and thank you for very kind words. ~ Dale
