Tomato Inheritance
Indeterminate.”
Gorgeous and fully ripe, this is one of the newest beauties from my heirloom tomato garden: a “Russian Cossack.” An indeterminate tomato, it falls between a salad and beefsteak depending on the actual tomato and with a beautiful green-gold stripe against the orange/red skin, the tomato is classified by some as a “blue” tomato. And for those that don’t judge book by it’s cover, here’s what this juicy jewel looked like on the inside … as it became our Greek salad.

Looks so yummy!

Thank you, Imelda. I would highly recommend the variety to tomato lovers. A very nice balance of flavour, acidity, juice, and texture. Yummy indeed.

Hi Bipasha — Would you mind elaborating on your comment. Not sure if there is word missing, but I’m not sure what you mean? Thanks.

The tomato is absolutely amazing, far too nice to cut into, but I see you did!! Lovely photos

Thanks Jan — tomatoes make good subjects. They never blink or squirm … but this one was definitely even more pretty in real life. I don’t think the photos quite do it justice, but glad you liked them. Thanks again for the comment.
